I currently have an Ontario 8 tent (yes, just for me! Long story ;) ) which is great, but huge! I don't camp much, and I can actually pitch it by myself in a pinch so it's not usually a problem, but I'm going to an event where space is at a premium, so if I can take a smaller footprint tent the organisers will be very relieved!
My main problem is I am a tall lass at 5ft 10, and I really hate not being to stand up straight in a tent, including bedrooms (one of the reasons for the Ontario). I'd also like a reasonable living space (enough to fit a table and a couple of chairs and still store a cool box, stove on a stand etc. at night), and if possible more than one door to help keep things cool on those rare occasions the sun comes out! The sleeping compartment needs to be able to take a single flock airbed.
As this is technically a second tent, I don't want to spend too much (preferably under £200 if possible, but that may be pushing it!), but neither do I want to buy some cheap and flimsy bit of tat! I'm not the most confident camper especially in bad weather (though Delta ground anchors have certainly helped with that!), so quality and durability is important. Second hand is therefore definitely considered. Oh, and poles, not inflatable - not sure I could trust inflatable!
I've been looking around a bit and I like the style of the Outwell tents such as the Nevada and the Carolina, but all recommendations gratefully received!

I have a Vango Skye v400.
It's very sturdy and its tall too. The sides are the most vertical iv seen in a tent - spots of useable space inside.
The main front pole has steel legs and a fibreglass roof pole. The others are fibreglass.
It's the same height ( tall ) all the way from very front to very back of the bedrooms (no sloping back as most tents do at the back ).
The downside is its a heavy tent but other than that it strong and sturdy. A used one might just fit your needs perfectly.

The Trespass Go Further 2 Man is currently on offer at Argos at £89.99 (Half price). This tent gets good reviews from solo campers who want standing room. It's reviewed on this site as the Argos/Pro action Regatta Premium 2 man Weekend.
Also worth considering is the Sunncamp Silhouette 200 which might be better quality but more expensive.
Hey all, just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions :) I managed to find a second hand Outwell Carolina with several extras included for sale well within my budget, and picked it up this last weekend! Going to have a trial run at a friends house (they have a bigger lawn than me) this week, hopefully, then it will be used for real towards the end of the month :)
