Hi All had a great week away in Wales but Friday was scarily windy My Icarus 600 survived unscathed (god knows how) only damage done was the strap that connects the canopy to the tent pole It's ripped halfway through Anybody know the best way to repair this Cheers in advance Steve

Thanks I was really impressed overall how well the tent stood up to it Lying there at 2 am watching some of the shapes the tent was pushed too I really thought it would have ripped or had broken poles by morning

If the stitching has ripped through the strap then it will be greatly weakened, in which case duffs54's idea of using cling on clips as an alternative method may work, depending on how the canopy attaches to the tent.

If it will only work if a new strap is sewed on then there are places you can buy the gear you need or you could send it to a tent repairer.

And finally it's worth thinking about taking a canopy down in high winds because they are much less stable than tents.

You could also sew a strip of tape or thin webbing either side of the existing strap bridging the rip
