Our Rhapsody is wonderful, but it's a lot of tent for just short trips. So, does anyone have any recommendations for a family of five for one or two nights during spring/summer?

How much indoors non-bedroom space do you really need and how bothered are you about how the sleeping areas divide up?
I don't know how old your kids are but would a significantly smaller tent plus pup tent be an option?

I'm thinking it's something for the finer months, so we'd be predominantly outside the tent. It'd need to be big enough to accommodate 5 sleeping - so a double airbed, 3 singles - bags, tech, etc.

The kids are 11, 9 and 5, so we're still at a stage where we don't really need separation.

Maybe with a porch just large enough for overnight storage of chairs, stove, coats, etc, or shelter from the rain.

I have quickly looked at the Tipi tents on Go Outdoors, but they're the wrong side of £500.
Cheap too! :)

Looks promising.

Probably a bit too much £££, but the Vango Capri 500 and Lomond 500 look good, too. The latter being cheaper, but essentially the same tent but with a roof over the side door?

At 11 and 9 mine would have been in a small pup tent (at their insistence) which is an option if you want a smaller weekender.
