We have the trout lake 4. It has stood up to some c*** in Scotland. 50 odd mile/hour gusts and it shrugged them off. So I would say the poles are up to the job. They are not made any more but I suppose you could contact Outwell and see how helpful they were if you did need new ones.
The only problem we've had with ours is a tiny strip of fabric failing to be waterproof (under extreme provocation from Scottish summer rain!). I temporarily fixed the patch with lip balm but I believe there is a special cotton proofing product available which I will be taking with me next holiday.
When I first pitched my tent there was a very very small amount of water getting in from a very few places, but, next time it rained it was bone dry, just needed weathered I think.

The alloy poles are pretty strong. As for spares, it is a discontinued model, you could try Scottish Mountain Gear as they handle Outwell spares.
------------- Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
