So this weekend I thought "yeah I love camping let's camp" and I did not think about how bad the weather was and that I would end up with a very muddy wet tent. Unfortunately I got the berghaus air 8 (which is lovely) and it is huge relative to any outdoor space I have access too. Plus the weather isn't great for a while yet according to forecasts.
What can I do to dry it out and clean it off? Are there any tent cleaning services maybe (a google search suggested not but I may be wrong).
I'm based in Hampshire.

Put it in the bath, rinse off the mud with cold water then let the excess water drain off turning the tent regularly.

Once the excess water has drained you can remove the tent from the bath and hang it somewhere to dry naturally, but ensure that it is completely dry inside and outside before packing it away.

Clothes horse over the bath and keep turning, over the bannisters, ask a mate with a garage, hire a church hall for a day, pitch it, wipe it down, dry with towels and leave to dry.

I think there will be a lot of people in your position at the end of this bank hol.

One reason I avoid camping if I know it will be wet and muddy. I don’t care about the cold, but I have no idea how I would even get a muddy sodden tent home in tne car.

Is there a local Guide/Scout hut. Sometimes a donation for use of their hall in between meetings, will give you enough space and time to dry, and helps them with their funds

Not much help now i know, but when we was camping we had not much garden to dry our tent, we would always pay the extra night but pack up late afternoon when (hopefully) it wasnt wet, and head off home with a dry tent,with no need to unpack and dry.

Always found it a pain having to be off site by 10am, with the tent always soaking wet with dew
