Hi I recently bought a hi gear frontier 8 (2nd hand) and it has no poles with it .
I've tried to buy replacement ones but can't .
Although I can have some made but I do need the measurements of what that should be , I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out .

Sorry I can't help with sizes though as the poles are all shouldered you'd need very accurate sizes. angles etc.

The Frontiers were steel poled tents though - it wouldnt surprise me if the cost of replacement poles is not far off the cost of a new tent. The last quote I had for any steel poles was in excess of £100 per pole!

You may be better to either ditch it or look around for a knackered one on ebay/gumtree etc just to get the poles

Hi Barry, I also have a frontier 8 but have recently upgraded and mine is sitting doing nothing. Did contemplate keeping it as a spare but I could sell it, obviously depends where you are though. I'm south east London area. Drop me a message if I can help at all, I have the full tent, footprint, carpet and porch, although I think there were a couple of repairs and a bit of mould on the back last time I had it out (3 years ago) so unsure of the current condition of the main tent. Failing that, I think the oasis 8 poles look the same, could be worth contacting Hi gear and asking them as they look identical.
