Just done our first test pitch & got a couple of questions.

Windows. The closure velcro for the 2 windows is out of alignment & same for curtain inside. It's like we have it too tight but don't feel like I'd like it slacker.

I can only see mention of a rubber end piece on bottom of pole. Ours has 2 so I put one each end.

Despite reading info it doesn't need a pre-use soak we did it anyway. Felt a bit of mist coming through on the inside. I'm guessing that's normal first time?
It's 2nd hand but only been up once beforeso like new. Don't think it's been wet before.

This probably won’t help (we didn’t have this issue with ours) perhaps try aligning the window film/Velcro before tightening the plethora of guy ropes? If you hear the Velcro letting go, ease off that line.

The ground looks level, so shouldn’t be a contributing factor...
We also had 2 rubber protectors-and did likewise!

They are great tents, good luck with finding a solution.

Thanks. Aye - that's what we planned to try but I'm a bugger for a tight pitch!   We're liking the look of it even more now we've pitched it even if I have to carry it down stairs in stages. It's a big heavy beast.

Hi,
Just picked one of these up and wondered if you could advise on whether you put the rubber pole feet on both ends of the pole? The instructions only mention the bottom, but I'm worried it might rub through age the top without one there too. Thanks

Almost 3 years to the day I posted this! The tent was nicknamed The Widow Maker due to the effort required getting it up the stairs to the loft & generally lugging it about. We've kept our much lighter TNF Trailhead 8 should we need it.   The Kiowa was great but hell, what a weight & size! I realize it's not the biggest by a long chalk but for us it was too much.   The van pictured is going strong however - since converted to a campervan

Ha, thankfully the weight is nothing to me. I recall as a kid trying to lift a canvas ridge tent with 2x2 square wooden poles and could not move it and wondered how anyone could. 30 years later after a life time of exercise and 50 press-ups a day every day I wouldn't mind finding one of those tents just to try and lift it again, I don't fancy my changes even if I did find one.
