Hi just bought the above tent. Read all the blurbs etc and thought that it would be suitable. On unpacking and at the bottom of the bag is a leaflet 'users guide'. On page 1 it states that the tent is designed for 'light to moderate weather'. There is also a mention that the main seams have been factory taped to prevent leakage........it may be necessary to treat the rest of the seams with seam sealant. Are these kind of warnings usual, we thought we where buying a decent tent, now we are wondering if we should have bought something better. Are Kampa just covering their backsides or is there cause for concern, would appreciate others comments

not suitable for what tho? base camp at the bottom of Everest erm maybe not! lol, but on a camp site in the uk likely to be fine, but take a tube of seam sealant with you just in case, although saying that we still have ours untouched from the last 20 odd years

In the beginning there was darkness.
Then I bought a tent.
I'm not destitute, I'm just poor.

Hi, standard warnings.

Any large tent is only suitable for light to moderate wind. Though you'll probably need better pegs than supplied.

Seams will be taped, but there is potential the odd spot may weep which a dab of seam sealant will fix. Same for any polyester tent and no big deal.

Rare there is an issue and it is a good quality tent.
