Hello all,
I am considering buying an inflatable tent as I am a single mum so I`m looking for something that is easy to pitch for a single adult for either a weekend or week away. I've been looking at 4 berths as I have a 7yo and I want to either go camping with her alone, or perhaps take one of her friends with me. As a novice, I'm completely overwhelmed by the reviews! I want something with the option of two separate sleeping compartments and a good enough living area to cook in and shelter if its rainy.
I'm on a budget and have seen a few god quality second hand ones that look like they may serve the purpose (Berghaus Air 4/ Hi Gear Airgo Stratus 400). Im wondering if anyone has any experience and tips or recommendations they can give me please?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have used an Airgo Stratus 4 for a few years now mainly for weekends for 2 of us and I can recommend this tent without hesitation.Never had a problem and it has been stable in some windy conditions. It is easily put up by one person but expect half an hour and not the 7 minutes or so it tells you about!! The living area is big enough for 3 of you to sit around and play games or eat meals--but I would not recommend cooking inside this area(personal choice but I think its dangerous)..perhaps add a small tarp and windbreak to make an outside cooking area? It would also stop influx of rain through the sloping front door if it overlapped the tent. The tent will be a handful to get back inside the bag if by yourself as the tubes take a while to dump all of the air..not impossible though. Have you looked at small bell-tents? They would work for you. Let us know which way you go

Hi. In case you're interested, I am selling a brand new polycotton air tent, which sounds perfect for you - and has a canopy at the front to cook under if needed.

https://www.eurekaeurope.com/mount-yale-btc-rs.html

Has the benefits of air and not being too big to put up on your own - plus the advantages of polycotton. I bought it for weekend camps (particularly liked how the front completely opens up if needed) but we are after a quick sell to get something bigger. Might be above your budget though at £350. Please ignore if it is.

Thanks

We have an Airgo Solus for just the 2 of us, enough room using it as one large sleeping area.
We have gone electric for cooking to minimize risk of fire and CO poisoning.
