I recently purchased a Robens Green Cone tent which I'm very happy with.
I'd like to use a footprint with it but the manufacturer doesn't appear to make one. What are other Green Cone owners using? Any suggestions?

They make a footprint for the Fairbanks which I think should fit. Personally I'd buy a builders tarp and cut/fold it to fit because I'm much too mean to pay for official footprints.

Thanks. I've had a bit of a dig around and have ordered some Tyvek. It's had good reviews as something that's very durable and water resistant.
Wales in two weeks so water resistant is key!

Hi. I've been looking to buy a Green Cone recently. How satisfied are you with it? How easy to pitch single handed? At only half the cost of a Fairbanks it seems to offer great value for money?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

ps did you even find that footprint?

I really like it.

Well made with good pegs etc. The carry bag is a bit basic and not the easiest to get it back into.

It's a really good size for two people and a non-issue to pitch single-handed. It does need a bit of practise to pitch but once I figured out what I was doing it’s been pretty straightforward.

The main issue is getting the inner and outer correctly lined up and tensioned. Once I'd got that figured out I just left the inner attached and that works every time now.

For the inner I have a piece of Tyvek that has worked a treat and didn't cost much.

Me too.

Or actually not. I decided there was no way I was going to shell out for a £60 official footprint, but I found a deal where they were throwing in one for free. Jolly nice to have. Wouldn't have bought if for even half price.
