Does anyone have the Quechua Air Seconds 4.1
XL (or any in these series) and replaced the original room with a blackout?

I’m considering doing this but not sure if the blackout ROOM will make much difference as I think it may be more dependent upon the Fresh & Black OUTER of the tent. I’m a bit loathe to buy the Fresh & Black tent itself if the room will suffice but maybe someone has experience?

I’m interested if this would work too. I currently have the Air Seconds 4.1, not the Fresh & Black version. I think the outer of the tent being white would reflect the heat far better than the blue grey combo but if I could get the black room to prevent the inevitable early morning sun waking me I would happily invest in a F&B room.

The inner room would dim the light, but not achieve the whole effect, from what I can see. The fresh & black tents have an opaque outer tent which is white on the outside, black on the inside. The inner room is a black mesh. Combined, the light exclusion is really impressive (I got inside one at Decathlon yesterday).
On the other hand, I got into a Eurohike Nightfall tent today, which likewise has a black mesh inner room - but the outer tent is normal tent fabric, which lets a lot of light through.
As someone who likes maximum darkness for sleeping, I'm going for the Quechua Fresh & Black. Shame, as I really liked the Eurohike Avon, it has a very generous porch area. But it would be a somewhat darker version of a normal tent rather than a proper blackout tent.

They are out of stock now, so I wonder if folk reading here have had the same idea?! If you have, please post and let us know if it made a difference, thanks!
