Hi again,

finally got vango today after a week of toing and froing with the dealer. When i got it i opened up the bag and the groundsheet looks as if it has small water marks on it and the poles are marked on the sleeves as if they have been put together. Can somebody please tell me if this is normal or am i being taken for a mug.

I would like to think that  every tent purchased has been errected once to test it ,but I realise that in reality thats not possible ,but it could be that yours happened to be one of the quality control tents ?

Even so our tent has scratched marked poles just from rubbing together in the bag

Had a better look and even though there is the water marks and the marks the inner tent is immaculate so im hoping its just been a quality check as you say Skatty. Im like a kid with a new toy, going to put it up this afternoon so we dont look like pillocks next week when we go for real.

Hey dont quote me on that!! I dont even know if they do quality checks (just in my ideal world i think they should )   

I hope everythings ok with it ,but as said before 'if in doubt take it back ' !! the customer is always right and all that!

Check the pegs for the slightest trace of soil or earth.

check the zips, if its ex-display they might be worn/damaged.

if in doubt take it back!!!

Put it up this afternoon everything else looks fine inside immaculate, thanks again, cant wait to try it for real.
