Hi all,

Still very happy with our polycotton Kampa Crode 6 Air Pro with over 70 nights usage but looking for something a little smaller for quick getaways with just the car boot rather than a fully stocked trailer!

Have looked at some 4m bell tents from Bell Tent Boutique and Boutique Camping and the Robens Klondike, all online as I haven't been able to find a local display.

Preference for polycotton or canvas, I can also dry a 4m tent on a line in the garage drying time less of an issue.

Undecided on a stove, likely not to be used through the summer due to young children, but it may be my prefered tent for some solo events early and late in the year when the seasons are less friendly and I've seen there are fire proof options.

Any thoughts or advice to share?

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

I am also looking at buying a bell tent - we have a big de Waard pyramid tent but it takes too long to pitch correctly just for a weekend.

One question I have is how ZIGs stand up to bad weather - we live in Ireland and often have those wonderful days when the wind is so strong that the ground doesn't get wet despite torrential rain! Our pyramid tent is dry and comfortable even in a gale, and I would expect the same from a bell tent.

Also, if anyone know of a company that does free delivery (eve to Northern Ireland) please let me know. Delivery quotes have been extortionate.

Didn't the Klondike have issues with letting in water around the door poles?
