I bought a second hand Vango Nadina 600, the owner said they only used it once, bla bla bla.
I went on a trip at the weekend and the water was pouring in! Mainly from the back of the tent. I investigated to see that all the seams are thick with mould/mildew. So much so that the tape has come away in many places. I reproofed the tent before going and I know how to combat condensation.
This was 100% the rain coming in, dripping through the holes on the tape. In a few parts, i can see light coming through the seams :/
Today ive pitched it in the back garden and im not sure it salvageable.
The tape along the back of the tent has completely come away, I couldn't glue them back on because the mould was so bad.
Do i need to a new tent?

As well is two words!

Yes, I sprayed the outside!!! The tapes at the front of the tent are great, little to no mould. It wasn't until I took the bedrooms out that I saw how terrible the tapes at the back were!!
If seller used it once he more than likely put it away wet and left it or its very old or he lied.
Like has been said its a bin job I’m afraid.
Its also a fallacy that modern tents can be re proofed, once the fabric starts letting water through they have also had it.
Re proofing may give some very temporary respite from the drips but it won’t last, modern tent material is impregnated with waterproofing whilst manufactured and only have a finite number of years of life.
Iv sold spare parts on social media. I gave away a couple of tents to mates who had identical tents. By myself there is a shop that does spares . Its in Walsall , Tent hire Direct.
just a thought, while you have the tent pitched, what about cutting off the stragley bits of tape and getting some seal sealant? the type that comes in a tube, you might need 2 or 3 of them, and go over all the seams and leave to dry, then take a hosepipe to the tent to check if its still leaking, it may cure that problem and get you away camping for this year
