I have just bought a new Montana 6PE..used for the first time over the weekend..
It's OK but seems to have a design flaw...where the groundsheet zips into the main tent at the front, there are effectively two "holes" where the corners "fold in".....we had a slug come in the tent via this route !
Looking at other tents of this size, this could never happen....the groundsheet is completely sealed to the walls...am I missing something here ?
Regards
Phil
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
As you have said you will need a fully sealed tent with a 'bathtub' groundsheet to reduce the chance of any visitors.
While a slug isn't the first thing I would want in my tent, you are living in a field for a few days and natures creatures are bound to find a way in, one way or another. Its part of the camping life, I wouldn't let it bother you too much.
