sorry but that tent looks way older than the 3 seasons your saying it is, did you fold the tent up properly or just stuff it into the bag? if the later (going by the state of the fabric) no wonder its now leaking and there is nothing you can do when the damage is so wide spread, sorry
right well going by the state of the inside of the fabric then it has been scrunch up, but also you have the issue of the seam tape unsticking hence where the main part of the leaking will be happening. the amount of work involved in getting this tent usable again is far to much and i would say your better off buying a new one

The tent was folded as shown in the pictures. I really don't know how to fold it better. It was always dried before folding. It basically never rained from those two uses since we've had it.
It looks fine from the outside. Inside, the layer crumbles into a kind of dust, as can be seen from the pictures.
This never happened with previous tents and I really don't know what went wrong with this tent.
In the meantime, we received information from the seller that this is normal and that it needs to be impregnated with Outwell Water Guard impregnation.
However, we are still worried about whether everything will really be alright with the tent after impregnation and we will not swim in heavy rain.
- 2020 bought new and used for 14 days
- after the vacation 2020, we sent it to the outwell for a complaint due to a hole in the mosquito net
- when we got it back, it was stored as it was folded in the outwell company
- 2021 - 2022 we didn't go to the sea due to the Covid lockdown
- 2023 it was unpacked again and used for 14 days. We noticed this with the inner cover but didn't investigate because we didn't think it could be a problem. Besides, it hasn't rained in these 14 days.
- 2024 after a small rain we noticed tent is leaking.

No because they could not patch hole in the mosquito net. Outwell offered us a new tent or compensation. We accepted the compensation and the tent still had the same hole. I took a photo, below.
So they (Outwell) were the last ones to inspect and fold up the tent. When we unfolded it again in 2023, we noticed that interior thing which we still don't know why it happened.
well someone simply hasnt folded it up correctly , its been scrunched up to get into that state. i know you took pics of it when you where unfolding it but frankly that means nothing, anyone can get a groundsheet to fold up nicely, its what they do or in this case didnt do, with the outer of the tent, and basically from looking at the pics when they had finnished looking at the fabric where ever it dropped onto the floor/table then that is how it got folded, whereas the rest of us would have taken our time and got each section as flat and straight as possible, so when they actually folded the groundsheet up it just literally squashed it hence why it has that type of pattern to it, and nothing will sort it. its like when you have a pair of wet jeans and you leave them in a wash basket to dry as you have pulled them out the washing machine, leave them long enough to fully dry and then try ironing and no matter what amount of steam you put on them you will not get the marks out until you have washed them again.
if i was you i would be contacting them and telling them what they have done to your tent, explaining that due to covid that the tent never got used after they had put in for repair, they will have a record of this and who has mishandled your tent

If the polyurethane coating has decomposed then there is no practicable way of saving the tent.

We actually only used the tent for one season before this happened.
Bought in 2020 when we went on holiday with a tent for the first time. We noticed a hole in the mosquito net. We sent the tent to Outwell where they inspected it and said they couldn't repair it and it would be partially compensated.
In 2021 and 2022 we didn't go to sea because of the Covid lockdowns. In 2023 we went on holiday with the tent for the second time and noticed those tears in the inner layer. It didn't rain for 14 days and we weren't worried, even though we didn't know what that meant.
So at Outwell they were the last ones to open the tent, inspect it and fold it up. It was then stored in our cupboard until 2023.
We are still waiting for an answer from Outwell. However, I don't think this should happen with a tent in this price range.
We are ending our holiday 3 days early because rain is forecast. When packing we noticed that it was wet under one of the two inflatable sleeping mats.
We are still waiting for a response from Outwell.
The tent was last folded at Outwell, but I do not think that could have happened even if the tent had been folded badly, which it definitely was not. There is just something wrong with the waterproofing on the inside of the tent. The outside of the tent is fine.
The faulty tent had a coating issue - simply the material part of the tent was produced from was not properly waterproof. This is a production defect that was reported to us only years after selling these tents.
I hope you will be happy with your replacement tent and wish you a nice summer.
