Can any kind soul give me the instructions for setting up the Lichfield Montana 6? 6 berth tent. Bought in 2001. My grandchildren want to play in it, but I've lost the instructions and my memory is a bit vague!
I cant get any information from Lichfield however, and there doesn't seem to be anything on-line. I've searched everywhere and this is my last chance. Even a rough guide would be extremely helpful.
Thanks.
Chris
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
old post from 2009; sort out which are the leg poles , these will have either spikes in the bottom or plastic end caps.
Work out the roof poles from the tent measurements ,(measure the length where the roof meets the side walls ) the side poles should then be apparent . Corner brackets and roof brackets will be self explaining too.
When you have it all laid out , assemble the roof and side poles, then add a leg to each corner and middle of side poles. Don't raise the legs to full height, leave it sort of on its knees . Pull the canvas into position
over the top, with doors open . Raise the legs .
There may be ties to tie the canvas to the roof poles inside. attach these and make the roof canvas corners fit well over the corner brackets.
Go inside and close the doors , line up the legs with the corner seams . Tie on any ither ties .
Go back outside, close doors and peg down all around , check again that the door is easy to open , and adjust the position of the legs or pegs if the door zip is a bit tight.
Hang the inner tents up , and lay groundsheet if using .
Also , there may be a stickout kitchen extension, which will have a few short poles which fit onto the frame above a ventilated window .
Colour code it while its up with different colour electrical tape, or masking tape and felt pens
