I have two Marechal Chalet tents 1980's vintage, now surplus to requirements. One is a Chalet 6 and the other a Chalet 5 which is identical to the 6 apart from having a 5 berth inner. The design was brilliantly simple in that the frame was asymmetrical front to rear which gave more headroom in the living area and a bit less in the bedrooms. If it was pitched with the rear facing the prevailing wind it was very stable and secure even in very stormy conditions. They never leaked or failed us in any way in over 30 years.
They unfortunately have to go but I wondered if anyone out there might be interested in them.
Free to good home. Delivery possible in the Oxford area.
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
I do believe their is a quite active interest in vintage tents, so chances are someone would be interested, if only you could get them to their attention.
There are commercial enterprises that acquire and hire out vintage tents, think I'd be inclined to sell, rather than give to them, as they are making profit from them! https://www.vintents.co.uk/
