I've just recently found a small whole no bigger than half a cm in the bottom corner of the tent in the built in ground sheet. I want to patch it but firstly want to know what sort of patch would be best for the material and where it is. Any other advice.
Thanks

I have previously used Tenacious Tape, which is made for the job. It is transparent and almost invisible.
I used on a previous tent a few years ago and my son still uses the tent, the patch had not lifted at all.
I would use heavy black duck tape both sides.
If not duck tape.them something very similar. I always carry a roll of duck tape in our trailer with a few other bits and bobs to get me out of a sticky situation.
Another vote for Tenacious Tape here - although more expensive than the Duck (Duct?) tape solution. I've mended a couple of holes in the canvas and pole sleeves with this (due to sharp ended pole pushed through and a very silly experience with a nightlight...). There's another similar brand, Tear Aid: one is shiny the other matt if that bothers you.
One great piece of patching advice for all sorts of things is rounding off the edges rather than having a square: rounded edges don't 'unpick' as easily as a point.
I had to patch my various PVC groundsheets which I use in our frame tent - along a folded edge: hungry mouse damage from being kept in the garage .
I've used silver heavy duty tape on both sides (to enclose the hole so no stickiness exposed).
Decathlon sell repair patches (only in blue!) which might also suit.

Good old fashioned inner tube repair kit with contact adhesive and a patch, or duck tape, it is actually "doek" tape. Named after doek, the Dutch for canvas.
The term “duck tape” today refers to a specific brand of duct tape. Duck Brand® duct tape takes its name from the original name of duct tape. This name came from two factors. First, the tape was originally made from an army green cotton duck fabric.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
