Can someone recommend me a tent that we can use as a one-night stop tent. We have taken to touring (got down to Spain a week ago) and this year bought ourselves a new Wynnster Cambrian. It's everything that we want and we're really pleased with it, the only problem is that often we just want to put down for one night without setting up completely so we're considering getting a second tent for this purpose only.
We're thinking of a simple dome style, it would need to accommodate us on a double and 2xsingle airbeds and a little space for clothes bags. It would be nice if the quality was similar to the wynnster as it could get put though it's paces a bit, however we don't want to spend too much money. It definately needs to be simple to erect and fairly small to pack.

Just to add, I wouldn't go for the Vango Aurora 600, we had a look-see today and were surprised how narrow it was, not much room at all in the living area, and the material seemed a little thin too.
I was browsing yesterday at Norwich camping (at Blofield, just off the A47) and the wynnster savannah 4 caught my eye... I already have two perfectly fine tents (including the unbeatable montana 6 ) but this one appeals for just that reason, that it would be a great overnight tent... luckily common sense took over - I don't ever camp for just one night! - but it looked great - one large bedroom, with a bit of extra space for the few bits of gear you'd need, with great headroom... http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/directory2/details.asp?revid=514&typeid= have it for £85, http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/directory2/details.asp?revid=684&typeid= say price on application (?why?) but say they'll match any price...
no doubt others will find similar tents, but depending on where you live in suffolk it may be worth a trip to have a look - norwich camping have a fair few on display that might match your requirements.

What about using two small tents, Decathlon do a pop up tent which only takes seconds to put up pegging out takes longer of course but for an overnight stop they would be great.
depends on the camsite i suppose, the one we were on this year in cornwall charged £1 a night extra for a gazebo or a pup tent, some charge less for smaller tents (haven used to put offers on for pup tents) but you could always argue that your two small tents would take up much less space on one pitch than most of the new family tunnels and domes etc so if you keep within your pitch why should they have a problem.

I think the Wynnster Savannah may not be wide enough for 1 double and 2 single airbeds- its 250 cm wide, but I think the total width you would need would be more like 280cm? It might be worth measuring the airbeds so you know exactly what size you need the bedroom to be. Vango Venture 500 is £83 on Gearzone.co.uk - an excellent price for a popular tent.
Hippy-chick, thanks for the suggestions but no I don't want a motorhome, that has other issues that wouldn't suit my life at present. Possibly when we retire.
Johnmari - I agree but unfortunately my french is not up to a long discussion on ground space, just counting tents and people.
We're now thinking that perhaps we can bunk up with the double and one single bed. Thanks for all suggestions, the Vango Venture is looking like a strong contender.
Well in all seriousness me-jk, we do have a two man pup tent, (just wish I knew where that other man went-lol!) and something like that would be gr8 for a one night stop!
Our little dome jobby is super simple to put up and it's just a bog standard twin skin Eurohike. Didn't cost a lot at all when we got that. It's been used by daughter and her hubby for a whole week with no probs and while it's true they had most of their not inconsiderable toot, (I mean 'stuff'), in our awning, they did still have the odd bag in there with them, (and no that bag wasn't the mother-in-law!-me!).
You can also get one slightly more impressive but still small and quick to put up,(just can't bring meself to use that ere.. word -lol!), that also has a little sort of tiny porch type affair on it in which you could store your bags etc. They're not too pricey either.
Hope you get what you're after and roll on the days we can all afford the oldies Motorhomes -lol!

That does look good but I'm not keen on getting one of the Argos tents. Our friends had a larger pro-action one this year and it ripped easily when they were getting the poles in. I would like it to last a reasonable while.
If it's for overnight, I'd leave the bags in the car and use a couple of 2 second tents from Decathlon. Put them facing each other, and use clothes pegs to peg a shower curtain to join the two together above the doorways- you now have one vis-a-vis tent, not two pup tents - and still pitched in less than 5 minutes, INCLUDING pegging!
Hang on, not sure whether the double airbed will go in one - how wide is it?
