Just went in my local Woolworths

Double airbed with rechargeable elec pump £19.99 (from 39.99)

Single airbed with same was £29.99 down to 14.99 but now reduced to 11.99

Couldn't tell if pump deflates but will work off mains, car cigarette ligher socket or as stated is rechargeable.

I'm a big fan of Thermarest.  So simple, warm and comfy; they roll up really small and self-inflate without a pump (they're full of foam rubber, so when you open the valve, the foam regains it's natural shape and pulls in the air...all you have to do is tighten the valve after a few minutes).  One of these on a canvas campbed is the height of luxury.  I also have a three-quarter length version which is cool for backpacking...and you can fit either type into a clever little harness thing to make a chair which is great inside a small dome tent.

Downside: £70!!!  However...

Last time I was out I decided I needed a second one, but the shop didn't stock Thermarest.  I bought a "Multimat"; identical in every way...except the £30 price tag!!!
