We've just bought a Nebraska XL a few days ago and have not yet been able to camp out in it (Re: the weather.)

Today is the first sunny day we have had in a while so we took the chance to practise assembling the new tent. Once the tent was up we realized it was the one for us. I agree with VGillian about falling in love as we did with ours.

We've also been looking at the Nebraska xl against the montana 12 - how long does it take to put up and is it really as heavy as it says on the website (60kg?)

It took us about an hour to put the tent up and straight down and that was with one adult and three children. The tent bag has wheels so it makes it easier to take from place to place, but it also comes with a seperate bag with the poles in which is really heavy and takes at least one strong adult to lift. Hope you enjoy whichever new tent you decide to purchase.

We fell in love with the Nebraska XL and went to see it on show. We then wandered off to Hayes Garden World in Ambleside and walked into the Nebraska XXL and that was it! Total love and lust! Bought it right there and then.

Only four of us in our family, me, hubby, son 13 and daughter 10, so no problem for us about lying sideways on in bedrooms as only us using the tent so sprogs have bedroom each and plenty of space in them to store their gear. The porch swung it for us as if it rains we can sit in there sipping our wine (or throwing back cans of lager in hubby`s case) and watch the world go by.

As for cooking in it.......................well hubby is going to have to be very careful but think we will just eat out if it rains  and if not he will be putting camping stove right in middle of the porch so he can`t set fire to the sides!

Just some info about the Nebraksa range.  If you want to extend the porch ( as if you would ), the Montana 4 front canopy fits it perfectly, so you can easily add a fully open porch to sit in as well..
