i would go for a 2 bed tent with poarch that way you can have 3 bedrooms at night and through the bed in 1 of the bedrooms during the day that way you can have a living area through the day and only go on the sites that dont ask for the size of the tent with no hidden charge thats what we do there a plenty on this site
Hi and welcome to ukcs. Beware this site is very addictive Not too sure which tent to recommend as we only have two children. However space to sit inside the tent is vital especially with the wonderful British weather. This was the chief reason we upgraded from a small four man tent with no living area worth speaking of to a six man frame tent with a decent sized living area.
Take into account things like sleeping arrangements - will the boys happily share? Also there is a big age difference between the girls - are they happy to share? Last thing you want to do is spend your holiday sorting out squabbles. Got to admit that I'm lucky in that respect cos at the moment my two are happy to share - especially if I am in with them. Even at home its not unusual to find them curled up in the same bed.
There are so many people on this site, that somebody with a similar situation to you will be able to say what tent they have.
Hi, we have a Khyam Brekenridge de luxe, sleeps 9, has 3 bedrooms, and a large living area, quite a large tent, but plenty of space. Not that cheap at around the £230 to £300 price depending on where you go, but its a real good tent........
Cheers,
Stumpy...

You may wish to consider several smaller tents rather than one very big tent, as that gives you max versatility - as the kids get older will the older ones want to still go with you and if they do will they still be happy to share bedrooms. They might be happier with their own little tents.
