Suncamp Magnum is only three bedrooms, if you use the living area to sleep in as well (not a problem - it is what I do with our Anglesey).
Awnings direct are also selling cheap a Coleman Columbia, which has three bedrooms, as well as the living area - worth a look at.
Indiannas are good, but my preference would be for the SIG of the Magnum and Columbia. Just my preference thats all; many would prefer the tunnel, pitch outer first of the Indianna.

Can you post a link to that one zaccy123? it's not very helpful is it.
Hi siamese cat, they're all good tents, but have you checked out any of these on display? They usually give dimensions on the packed sizes on the websites, too.
You might find that you prefer a particular style of tent if you see some on display, even if you can't get to see the exact models you mentioned, you may find that you are drawn to a tunnel design or a dome with pods coming off it when you see them in the flesh, as it were.
ps, the coleman columbia10 has 3 pods, same shop as the magnum, awnings direct., same price too.
I'd say tunnel type for ease of pitching myself, but your choice in the end. good luck.

not very helpfull was it? This site exists as a mutual emporium for those who enjoy and / or are interested in camping. Most of us here are glad to give (and recieve) helpful advice to to both "newbies" and experienced people alike. I see you are a gold member and therfore should know better!
With remarks like that, I hope your "fartmeister 950 turbo" suits you!

The Vango Oregon looks a nice tent but, does it have the 3 x bedroom inners you want? Have you thought about whether or not you would like a sewn-in groundsheet (SIG)?. What budget do you have in mind?
For speed of pitching, and 3 bedroom compartments, how about this
(not the cheapest, and no SIG, but pretty quick and not too fiddly to pitch so good for weekends, also not too heavy and smallish pack size).

I would have recommended the Coleman Columbus 8 (although the Columbus 6 may do you) three beds and really heavy duty but the pack size is about 3foot by 1foot+ round so from that point its not ideal. (26kg pack weight)
£210 from e-awnings. here
The good thing is that with the ground sheet the pods don't have to be used without a patch of grass protruding. The 8 has 2x3 beds and 1x2 bed and has pretty good separation. The 6 has 3x2 beds, and is 22kg
The Vango Oregon 600 has a 4 berth pod with dividing curtain, and a 2 berth pod; the 800 has two 4 berths with dividing curtains. Its a nice tent, made it onto our shortlist! Our current Vango Vista is similar, and its very easy to pitch.
Thanks for that, Alison. I looked at pics on the web and could only make out two inners, so that clears that up. I would personally go with the Vango, then, as they do look decent, well made tents (and this is something you will know more about than most, as you already have the Vista).
In fact, I am looking for a quick-pitch tent myself at the mo, for short stays, so will look more into the Vango Oregon 8 now.
I still stand by the Coleman I mentioned earlier, although I also saw the Vango Oregon800 as well and it looked nice but I didn't like the dividable two rooms prefering the 3 separate rooms of the coleman.
The Vango also had slightly more living space but I guess I would say as ever the Vango will sleep 6 fine, the Coleman probably only five, but it is better made.
HI I guess the fartmeister is no real use, but we found the montana 12 exceptionally versatile for a family of five, have a look at other threads on the same subject, I know its a personal thing but the size and adaptability is awesome.
We are a family of five, and remove the pods at one end, fitting in table / chairs / portaloo / toys and many other things, I would suggest a minimun of eight berth, and at least 4 pods, giving storage and a stand at the door and throw it in cupboard !!

Do you think the Vango Oregon 8 would be as quick to pitch as the Khyam XXL?
Would it be as well ventilated?
I can't be sure because I have no experience of the Khyam, but I would think yes. The Oregon 8 is 5 poles, its a case of pushing them through and forming 5 arches at ground level then lifting up, it really doesn't take long at all, after that the pegging out is likely to be similar for both tents. The Oregon looks well ventilated, it has those windows with mesh at the top and a cover outside which can be pegged out in inclement weather, plus some vents at the bedroom ends. Its better ventilated than our current Vista, but I'm not sure about the Khyam. The Oregon does have the new riser ground sheet, which looks pretty good to me, it has the TBS system for stability in high wind, although we've never had to use them on the Vista, the Vango 3 part bags are good, and its half the price of the Khyam. I hope that helps!
