I bow down to your greater experience .... My new tent (Montana 6) arrived on Friday and within the packaging was a do's and dont's sheet of paper. One of the statements was around weathering the tent.

Is this required on new style materials, or is it just relevant to poly-cotton materials?

All advice gratefully received as our first trip starts on Sunday - 3 nights at Merley Court followed by 3 at Alpine Grove.

Martin

I've never heard of having to weather a nylon tent, the only thing that these need generally is checking that the stitching has been sealed during manufacture, and if not applying some sealant on these seams.
