Having put up my second new SV6, ( getting good at this) and becuase it won't get used untill next year i thought i would give it the hose test.
It leaked a bit around the seams on the side door, am i just being fussy? or should it not leak at all?

Agreed, from just a hose it should not make that much.------------- Big Bunny

If it leaked enough to form a puddle the size of a saucer, then just think what might happen in a storm
I'd say take it back.

Coincidence that you should bring this up - I've just bought an awning for my van, and the instructions from Sunncamp are: "The Moto has its seams hot air taped to help prevent leakage. To maximise the awning's weatherproofing it is necessary to treat the remaining seams with a seam sealant". I was a bit suprised by this. I've never had to bother with tents I've had in the past.

I would say deffinatley take it back or when you do get round to using it you may wake up in a pool of water.
I have had my tent 3 years now not re proffed it yet and still have no problems at all with it.

You may occasionally get a tiny drip of water from a toggle point stictch, and most tents suffer from condensation to a greater or lesser degree, but ten minutes with a hose shouldn`t give a puddle inside.....unless you were directing the hose straight at the zip?
Sounds to me like it should go back, though.
