Does anyone out there own a Royal Rimini 6 and if so, can you let me know if it's any good. I am interested in a second hand one that is for sale but don't know much about it. One dealer has told me it's discontinued now so I'd like to grab one whilst I can - any comments appreciated.

Help - please can I have some advice! About to say yes to this tent and don't want to make huge mistake! Even if you know something bad - I'd much rather know!
Hi Mrs.Pots I've never owned a Rimini, but believe me you can't really go wrong with a canvas frame tent. They can last up to 30 years if you look after them, so even if the tent you've got your eye on is 10 years old, you should still have a good few years of happy camping in it.
We bought our frame tents second hand, and have been really pleased with them.
Didnt know Royal did Cavas tents? but you learn something every post..
I dont have a royal tent but wanted the Avigion I know from what my royal day room has stood up to that they are excellent and a 5000HH...
I say go for it ...
You can always sell it on..
good luck Mrs Pots
I have one of these. I brought it brand new off Ebay last year.
My Views:
Good points,
Easy to erect, poles have a nice system of being split into 3 long ones (both sides and centre ridge, you then have two lots of poles, legs and roof poles. The poles left over are for the kitchen area. Big bright living area (lots of windows). The tent stood up to some very adverse weather last august without a problem.
Bad points, Pattern on the curtains and roof liner. Curtains can be hard to put up (no harder than my old trailer tent).
I have put 3 pics of the tent on my profile.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I don't know why I have a SatNav, as my ex-wife is always telling me where to go !!!
Thanks Keef - see what you mean about the curtains! However, would rather have a tent that stands the test in British weather than pretty decor. Thanks for your comments - much appreciated.

Hi we bought our Royal Rimini 6 last year and what a fantastic tent .I would give it 10 out of 10 for everything even the curtains. If we had to get rid of it I would cry buckets. I have been spending money on it already this year went to go and got a nice blue footprint and carpet right for a lovely blue carpet I don't think there is any thing in the rules that says you have to stick to tent carpet. Oh yes and found a lovely table cloth from the 99p shop and some cushion covers as well. Just as well that we bought a trailer to put it all in or I would have to run behind. Just 11 weeks and 6 days to go and I cant wait . Happy camping
Hi, we had our Royal Rimini 6 for a few years & loved it. It was a great tent.
We now own the Royal Winnipeg 6 & have just used it for the first time & it broke ! We a re just waiting for a new one so fingers crossed we wont have any more problems with it.
