I bought a Skandika Nimbus last Sept from Ebay - France. Got a much better price than UK - i bought for £205=£26p+p.
When i got the chance to put it up - i was well impressed. The "thing" is HUGE - ate the garden. But SO easy to put up - even in the wind - just me and the good lady!. I liked the mix of flexi and metal poles. (Even dropped it on my own.)
spent the next hour tying on the many guys. As you do! And checking over seams and joints etc! All looked good.
The bedrooms have SIG but the living areas have pegged sheets.
Tent very well made - in China - as are most - probably the same factory as more well known brands.
My advice - if buying new off Ebay - look for a seller with a v good history and search for reviews and comments to support your search. Then if you are ready, buy. Most of these companies have stock and there is a regular sale - so you don`t have to rush in!
one consideration is the size 8m * 7m so you have to pick your sites - especially top season. Cant wait now to get to Newquay this Whitsun - to lord it up in so much space. Staying at Monkey Tree (huge pitches)
Hi Re Skandika Nimbus I'm considering buying one: please can someone explain what the deal with the front entrance porch section is? - does it have it's own separate zip on front or does it use the divider seen on the inside of the pictures. How well does it stand up to very high winds, does anyone know?
