Does anyone have an opinion on ease of pitching an Outwell Bear Lake 6 ?  We have a Wild Country Homestead 5 at the moment and have had problems with gusts of wind taking the tent down when half way through pitching.

The video on the Outwell site makes it look easy enough, but does look a nice day and doesn't really show going from one curved pole up to all of them.

The bag size and weight seems pretty hefty - is this correct, has this caused any issues with anyone ?

I've also just seen the Coleman Darwin 5 - any experience, again similar sorts of questions ?

I put mine up on Sunday for the first time.

It took us about 1 hour 45  but I think we can ge that down to about an hour second time round and maybe 45 mins after some more practice.

I dont have a great deal of experiance but but I would say it was fairly easy.

The instructions are not all that great so first time there is a little bit of head scrathing about fitting the the ground sheet especially but I think once you have done it it will be easy second time round.

I keep having to go back in it's a Fab tent and I am sure it was worth th extra dosh.

The tent went up fine from pole to pole once we had worked out exactly what to do and it was a bit windy, make sure you guy out the front end after you get the first poles upright though.

The pole bag and the tent bag are both to heavy in my opinion and there is no need for this as the tent is probably about half the weight with the ground sheet canopy etc making up the rest, so these should be two bags in my opinion, my wife has said if she goes away with her friends (weak girls LOL) sorry, I will have to split it down into two bags.  The poles similarly could easily be split into two bags, as both bags are heavy.

Having said that you only have to lift it in and out of the car so for us tough blokes not to much of a problem.  LOL
