I am hoping to dine at a particular restaurant some time in the future and do not fancy a 1.5h's drive from Fforest Fields which is the only site I have stayed in Wales for me to date.
The route looks rather too twisty for my liking after a long meal that could finish quite late in the evening.
The nearest campsite to this restaurant about 15min's drive away is an independent site and it looks decent.
Looking at doing a tour in the Welsh Coast with 2 to 3 sites, one of which to be in or near Angelsey as I have heard good things about the area.
Site recommendations will be very welcome and thanks in advance.

Anglesey is lovely,so is Pembrokeshire, so is the Gower . There must be more than 1 site nearer than Forest Fields which would be suitable? It's also a long way between each area, I wouldn't do it in 1 trip.

Thanks for the advice.
The trip will be with dining at this currently 2-star restaurant near Aberdyfi in mind, in the middle of frigging nowhere!
Cheapskate here does not wish to pay for a night's accommodation at the restaurant as it is going cost quite a bit just to dine there.
Hence the idea of staying at a campsite nearby.

Hi, we have stayed at Hendy Farm (book via pitch up) in Caernarfon regularly each year for past few years (missed going last year due to other long trips instead) Good facilities, easy walk into town, Dinlle beach not far.
As for Anglesey, we have been to a CL Bryn Goronwy, a nice quiet site not far from Benllech and Red Wharf Bay. Anglesey is lovely. Newborough beach not to be missed aswell.
Just seen where you need to be these aren't near, but if your planning a trip afterwards are a suggestion. Would the place not let you stay over if self contained, much like a pub stopover? Or would you not feel safe?

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have not recce the restaurant yet and have not asked if I could sleep in my van for the night after the meal.
The dog will be with me too.
In the past, when I asked the restaurant where I frequent that is part of a hotel if I could sleep in my van overnight parked up in their car park, they said no.
