washing stuff +small tower
2 sleeping bags
2 self infalting mat's
pillows
saucepans
plates
knifes and forks + spoons, cups,water butt
1 small cooker
spare clothes
2 small butt chairs!!lol
Oooo and can't forget the 4 man tent lol
think thats it
all fits nicely on me bike,mind you sometimes i get some funny looks when we turn up at rallies..lmao but as some1 said to me the skys the limit when u ride a bike and its true!! lol forgot to say good job thereb is no high limit on stuff you can take on a bike..lmao

Lin and I are fond of the Enfields. You can buy then new here, though not as many models to choose from as in the UK.
But they ain't cheap and as I use my bikes to commute to work on and do fairly long distance on we've always been worried about the reliability.
Lin would have one in a second.
It's very true that for two people to be comfy in a tent, plus have room for the gear you do need a 4 person tent.
We worked that out long ago.
I've got a one person tent for when I go bush by myself...ye gods there's barely enough room inside for me and my saddlebags.
It's obvious the people who design the tents don't use them themselves. Unless they're into the 'body warmth' thing. LOL.
Not long to go for us. Flying out May 15. The BMW R 100 GS I bought awaits us in Essex.

I've had mine about 2 years now. It is a 2005 model & has never caused any problems. There were build quality issues when they were 1st imported to the UK a few years ago, but reading the reviews these seem to have been solved by investing in new plant at the factory as well as engineering to develop the bikes. Mine has an Austrian designed all alloy lean burn engine with a Nippondenso electric starter, British designed 5 speed box & Suzuki switch gear. I have fitted a Bunn Breather kit (Australian) to ease crank case breathing as I know of people who have lost all their oil when the old tubes gunk up. There is a brand new one out now with a unit construction engine/gearbox in order to meet new emission regs.
Like all things, I'm sure there are bad ones & I'm not sure I'd like it as my only means of transport for commuting, but as "the other car" it works fine. I use it for work when my wife needs the car as well as for fun. Impossible to ride without a smile on your face & I often get people coming over to talk to me about it. However, don't go for a "private import" from India. Their home market bikes are not the same as the export ones & it costs a fortune to re-build them to pass type approval as a new vehicle.

I am covered by the RAC because they cover the bike and the car although I think the AA may offer that as well. I's just a single policy which covers me whatever i'm driving/riding.
I know the AA & RAC have limited numbers of patrols. Been with both & was disappointed with them. Now with Green Flag with the bike, used them for years with the car too but the current car came with 3 years AA cover. Green flag use contractors, ie. local firms with recovery trucks. I have been picked up a few times, once with the bike after a puncture. AA & RAC left me for over 4 hours each waiting for a truck. With the AA it was eventually a contractor in a Green Flag van who came as their vehicles were all busy. Another thing to consider is how they recover you. I believe the AA take you from depot to depot on their vehicle. Green Flag will take you the whole way on one truck.

First test Wednesday, have just been reading how a candidate broke his arm during the test. It was pouring and they insisted that he did the swerve. Came straight off. Great!!!!!!!!!!!

I think all of the bikers on ukcs should come to aberdare park for the national roadraces in july the dates are 17th 18th july 2009 you can pitch in the dare valley park and have a great weekend .

I'm with Green Flag and used them last week. I have a BMW R80RT and was at club event. One of my HT leads stop working.There wasn't any one around with a spare so called them out. Told them what the trouble was and all it needed was something that could get me home.They called back twice to confirm it was a bikeand not a car so they could have the proper gear to tie it down. Told them again all it needed but still took me all the way home. Seems that they would sooner transport back to a destination of your choice. It did seem to me that it would have been cheaper to try and fix it than 300 mile round trip with a break down truck. Having said that they were very helpfull and efficient and the driver was carefull with the bike.
I have experienced the opposite with them. I had a rover 216 & the throttle cable snapped. it was around 5.30 so all the garages were shut. Turners of Sedgefield sent the truck (on contract to Green Flag). The driver took me to their depot, they are a Ford & Skoda dealer. He made me a cuppa & put the telly on for me whilst he fitted a new cable. All I paid for was the part - around £7. I was so impressed I bought my current car from them! I guess it depends on the availability of spares whether they tow or if they repair you.

The AA do an option 200 policy and it covers my car and motorcycle ( FJR1300 ) i used it once on a GPZ 1100 when i broke down at the BMF Rally . The AA brought me straight home. The AA policies cover you not the machine. If your planning on touring abroad then try Carol Nash
