Hi sammijojo2, have a look at www.geocaching.com, click on 'play' then 'view geocache map'. No matter where you live I can guarantee there'll be caches close by so you can try some local ones out to see if you enjoy it or not. You'll need to set up a new user name on the website but it takes 2 minutes and is free.
When we first started out I clicked that map and was amazed to find out that there was a cache hidden opposite our house!
The lower the difficulty and terrain ratings, the easier the cache is to find. The bigger the cache size the more swaps it contains (the micro & nano sized caches will only contain a log to sign; you may find it more appealing at first to find larger caches that have goodies inside )
Wow thanks! I can't wait to finish work now & get home to try! We are big walking/cycling fans so this could be right up our street! Many thanks for the advice :)
