Hi to all

My OH and DS want to give fishing a go, I am dubious about them sticking with it, so not willing to fork out a fortune, I have found two sets on Ebay and was wondering if you could tell me if these are good beginner sets and suitable for rivers and lakes

Item No: 180355226674 for DS
Item No: 120315604593 for OH

Thanking you all in advance

Niki

I'd forget the first one in the list altogether. I know it's cheap but will be hell to use and would certainly put him off fishing for good. Also you have to think of the welfare of the fish they are to catch

I'd strongly advise you visiting a local fishig tackle shop and asking them to quote you on a reasonably cheap beginnners set up.

Have a look at this link , they have a Pole Starter Kit for £5 99 with the Angling Times Special Offers.  Some very good deals.

Thanks I looked at Argos, saw some sets there, one was an anglers set for £29 and another one
Zebco Seat Box With Complete Fishing Set.
074/4081 for £49, are these ok for rivers and lakes?

Guess you can tell I have not got a clue about fishing
