This may not be of much use as I dont know any road names, however, I have done Cadair Idris and the starting point was from a small car park....After that its a gentle (ish) walk towards the lake that sits in its 'horseshoe shape. I went to the left of the horseshoe then and got to the trig point and shelter after a very steady incline,
Perhaps a google map search may show the carpark at its base.
Best way to describe i its location I suppose would be imagine a clock face the trig point is at 12 O clock then the car park is at 20 too or half past (thats as clear as mud I guess)
Hope this helps a bit anyway...At least it got rid of the Blue face lol
