Hi all,
Next week I’ll be camping in Norfolk.
I’ll be staying near Great Yarmouth, which I've never visited before, and would like to do a small part of the Weavers Way walk from Berney Arms station back to Great Yarmouth. I intend to park in town and get the train out to Berney Arms then walk back, ending up at Great Yarmouth train station. It’s about 5.5 miles so should take about 2.5 hours; 3 with a bit of pottering about and a pub visit if it’s open.
Where is the best place to park in Great Yarmouth (cheapest and closest to the train station)? Any idea of the rough cost for 4 hours? The National Rail Enquiries web site says that parking at the station is £3.50 for all day – that sounds too cheap to me.
Any advice appreciated.

OK guys, thanks very much.
Just as I expected for a seaside visit. Just hope the weather stays as it has been.
Cheers.

Haven - Wild Duck, Belton.
Very cheap deal this time of year, and looks good for a spot of walking around the area.

I ended up parking at the train station (£3 all day, or £2.50 if after 9:30am). Much cheaper than in town parking. As this time of year is "off peak" there were plenty of available spaces; I assume this would not be tha case mid summer.
Loved Norfolk btw and the vist to Berney Arms station, windpump and pub - great local beer called "Humpty Dumpty" (this is high praise comming from a Yorkshireman ).

Consider the secret safe - most people I know adopt a glazed look when I talk about real ale.
HD was a real gem, and nice to sample it in such a remote but beautiful place – one of those rare moments when everything fits into place and the universe makes some kind of sense, however briefly
