Yep - thats the score this year -

Had 10 days camping in Cornwall late August with mixed weather - but got 5 days on the beach and a glowing tan to go with it !

Just returned form 7 days in Greece and I can tell you - only 2 sunny days - 1 on the beach - and not so much as a slight tint of brown -

So for this year the points go to the UK - and not overseas !

So I wont be selling the tents just yet !!!   LOL  was also an awful lot cheaper here than in Greece where the Euro is so strong against our crappy pound - that everything is expensive !

Simon

I was saying to my OH the other day that since I've been camping I've never had bad weather so wondered how I would cope if it rained. Would I still enjoy the experience or just get miserable? He looked at me as if I'd gone bonkers and pointed out that we had just come back from a camping trip where it was so wet our car got stuck in the mud and our friend's tent was blown over and annihilated. Apparently, I enjoy camping so much I don't even notice the weather!!

We have loved evey minute of camping in france carrantec in brittainey if you haven't done add it to your list of things to do! very very idealic scenery plus lovely big market days in the local towns..

we surf pretty much all year in a 1970's faded orange well weather trailer tent is our base camp. we have made a massive polly cover for the trailer tent because it can pour with rain bad weather better surf!

the polly cover is mint it keeps us dry, its light easy to put on, and it keeps the tent warm! can be noisey if its blowing a hooligan ;p

we are usually to excited about going camping & surfing to notice if the weather is bad or not...
