HI everyone , anyone used these socks or gloves ? i am looking at getting some for my job this winter as i am fed up with cold feet and hands but the feet are the big problem.

 I work as a mobile car valeter( and caravans) i have never found a boot that does not leak i don't use wellies as they are so cold and can be slippery .

I tryed gortex boots but they leaked and i had trouble getting my feet in and out of the boot membrain it does not help when i have size 12 feet and broad .

any advise on the socks gloves or boots  would be gratful.

Hi there, i do sea fishing and agree that wellies are cold and rubbish at keeping your feet warm, not all of them though. I had normal wellie boots and my feet was always cold, then i bought a pair of Wychwood Neoprene Wellington Boots. I have never had cold feet since even standing in the freezing sea. Neoprene gloves might work well too. It's the same stuff they make wetsuits with. I think the wellies are much thicker though.

I have thick sealskin socks which while it feels like you have a thick plastic bag on your foot they are fantastic. Fully waterproof (tested while mountain biking) and warm. Definately recommend but they are thick so if you are close to needing the next shoe size up you may want to go for their medium thickness pair.

Also have gloves and they are better than my ski gloves for warmth.

I still say you just can't beat neoprene wellies to keep the cold out. Beter than ANY boot ive ever had, even better than my Meindl Burma Pro walking boots at £145.
