I'm hoping someone can help with advice on fitting a Cycle rack to our car ?
We don't have roof bars, or a tow bar.
We've looked at Halfords high mount 3 cycle carrier, but don't appear to have any anchor points to secure underneath.
Does anyone have any advise or tips to overcome this or suggest a reasonably price alternative please ?
When my brother borrowed our 3 cycle carrier, to put on his Grand Scenic, he used the hook things to fix the rack to the rear door , and not to the car body at all.
This meant he could still open the boot, with the rack (but not bikes !) attached.
They always leave marks though ....
If you can afford to, it's really worth getting a tow bar and then a tow bar bike carrier ... MaxxRaxx are extremely good ... but there are others.
