Wondered where that was, googled it to find out - ah, Skeggy!! UKCS reviews are helpful, and like TripAdvisor reviews you ignore the best and worst 10%. Re dogs, phone the site? or TIC?  http://www.skegness.net/things-to-do-skegness/skegness-beach.html says "Dogs are banned from the busiest part of Skegness beach between 1 May and 30 September. This section runs parallel to the seafront from the lifeboat house on Tower Esplanade all the way to the X-Site Skate Park at the end of North Parade. In the Ingoldmells area you can't take a dog into Glebe Park, Queen Elizabeth Playing Field, Ingoldmells Churchyard or Addlethorpe Cemetery. [Doesn't mention the beach.] In Chapel St Leonards they are banned from the land at the back of the Village Hallwhich is used as a recreational area, and from 1 May until 30 September from the beach 400 metres either side of the main pullover."

Like a wander into Ingoldmells when we stop at Butlins for 70's weekends etc. and whilst fun for an hour or so would not want to stop there. To be honest, it is an absolute dump. You would be better off finding a nice site on the Lincolnshire Wolds and taking a ride in. The place (along with Chapel St Leonards) is a sea of static sites with vans crammed in behind stark metal fences complimented by cheap shops, a market selling mainly tat and a fairground which admittedly has one or two good rides and an indoor area with kids rides. Check out Google Earth for the full horror of it!!!
