Hi, we've booked the CC Henley site in Oct half term, as we have vouchers for Legoland. We would also like to go to the Harry Potter studios(the reviews are really good)
Has anybody come across any good discount vouchers (Tesco don't do them)and anybody got any tips. From reading the reviews, sounds like taking a picnic is a good way of saving a lot of money.
Thanks

We went last yr and all really enjoyed it. Me, OH 17yr old and 8 yr ol. All like HP books and films so got lots out of visit. The shop at end of visit is to be walked through quickly if possible cos thats where they take your money!

Try the butter beer ...very tasty!

It is certainly expensive there...but it is also very good! Definitely recommend the Butter Beer, it's very nice and if you buy it in the plastic glass you get to take the glass home - neat HP souvenir and saves buying something else from the gift shop. In the area where you can buy a photo of you flying on the broom sticks, is also where you can buy a family photo of you driving the Ford Anglia. However what you don't realise until afterwards is that there's another car outside which you can all pile in for a free photo! Enjoy your visit - the Hogwarts model near the end is absolutely incredible!

If you are into Harry Potter you should visit Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire where many scenes from Harry Potter were filmed. It is owned by the National Trust and they sometimes have free days.

Just returned from a day at the site

First the positives

Its very well thought out, i was quite taken back by the details, the tour is more a 15 minutes hit and run from the staff and then your free to walk round, plenty of people around to ask questions and some interactive pod thingybob, They are very easy going on cameras (except the green screen)

Didn't eat but did try the butter beer and well to quote my nephews favorite phrase "its well fit"

There is a small smokers area at the half way point.

Negatives
Only 1 really and 1 things that errked me

the intro to the main hall (its like a processing room)

so once in you dont get long before told to move on as i said any photos snap away fast as you can.

Now the things that errked me The staff are next to useless for those that couldn't speak english, And i dont mean 1 or 2 there was coach loads of Europeans who had come for a day visit.
They have to rely on the interactive guides. Which they had to pay for (and that peeved me a little bit)

Other than that well worth the trip.

Pay for a picture of me in a Ford Anglia????

I have an original lol...

Me next to a 105E back in the day when we used to 'pop' up the M6 to the Golden Torch in Stoke-on-Trent.

We were magic before HP...
