We had a fantastic week in North Devon a few years back. Funnily enough we stayed at Damage Barton.

Mortehoe is a pretty little village, the fish and chips were fabulous! Lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area. Maps are available from Damage Barton.

We took a little tractor ride from the campsite to the lighthouse, I think I enjoyed that as much as the children did!

Lynton and Lynmouth is just spectacular. I loved the valley of the rocks although we drove through as our smallest wasn't up for a long walk back then.   The Railway was good fun. We also visited the little musuem telling the story of the flood in 1952.

Watersmeet is worth a visit too (we called on the way to Lynmouth) great little National Trust tea room, amazing scones! Pretty little walks.

The boys loved Lee Bay, it's very rocky so they enjoyed rock pooling there. I thought it was a lovley view.

We drove over to exmoor one day and the chidren loved the Tarr steps, great little walk and we were lucky it was sunny and hot, they played in the water there for ages!

We watched the sheepdog show at Bourough farm, our two were into Mist at the time (the sheepdog on TV) there were also birds of pray. Fantastic little show on a wednesday at 6.

We cycled along the Tarka Trial.

We walked around the Beach at Woolacombe. I remember parking being expensive!

Hope you enjoy your trip! I would like to go back one year and do all the things we missed and cycle more of the Tarka Trail now the boys are older
