Newton's Cove leading onto the Nothe Gardens and onto the Nothe Fort leading onto the Old Stone Pier or back to Wemouth Brewers Quay alongside the outer Harbour.

Many beaches down near the Ferry Bridge Pub, or from Ferrybridge opposite follow on up the Rodwell Trail up to Old Castle Gardens, fabulous views, dog friendly and free, with cafe and toilet.

Over the Beach Road to the Isle of Portland and to Portland Esplanade, cafe and Pub on Chesil Beach, ideal place to watch the sun drop into the sea whilst having an   evening drink.
On top of Portland next to Portland Heights Hotel fabulous walks and views in all directions and in the open quarries and around the Prison ramparts, look out for the Toute Sculpture Quarry Park,(Free,) opposite the Hotel, that is most unusual and a great dog walk.

the bit of beach near the harour in Weymouth allows dogs- it's a fabuous beach for kids (of all ages!!!) I adore that area. Last time I went to the Northe Fort for the day when they had a WWII re-enactment, then the Northe Fort Tavern (I think it's called) for a meal - they allow dogs to sit outside and they do lovely food

Next time I want to go to Bowleaze Cove for the day
