I might be wrong but due to copyright I doubt you'll find anywhere on-line to print them off. You might have more luck buying some from Memory Map and printing them from your PC.

Streetmap will print out smallish areas in 1:25000 and 1:50000 styles; though not always accurately to scale. You can get a fair idea from the 1km gridlines however. It will give you enough for a stroll, but not a long distance yomp!

Graeme - re copyright. A recent victory for Creative Commons was to get OS to release their mapping data into the public domain. We've already paid for it, after all!

Streetmap is one my Wife and I have used often when Caravaning but another detailed and printable one is Bing
Right down to paths and tracks. It offers a 'Bird's eye view' so you can see the actual terrain. Happy walking, Ray

I purchased 'UK map' for iPhone , (8.99) you download segments to use offline for where you plan to walk and it relies on gps , very accurate , great app , shows most footpaths on a os map , I carry a back up up battery charger just in case but generally just checking where you think you are doesn't hammer the battery at all .

OS Mapping is available here, log in as a guest, select your map type and hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard. Load up your favourite picture editor and paste the image you've just captured, then print it off. Simples!

My son taught me how to capture a page to print. I go geocaching and I might only want a bit of a map.
I use Bing maps - Ordnance survey map - that shows the bit I want. Press FN and END/PRTSC key. Go to word and press Paste. Use the Picture Tools option to crop bits off, enlarge to the size of a landscape page and print off. I use this now instead of buying a whole map if I only want a bit.

Sounds good for a short hike.

However I just go to the library and borrow the map of the area we are visiting and maybe the neighbouring one too. You can borrow them for 4 weeks at a time. They are also lightly laminated so better quality than mine at home!

Doesn't help with printing but helps with maps.
