Hello All,
I have a brautiful willerby countrystyle 35 x 12feet 2 bed 2008 in terrific condition, at the moment it is sited on a park close to Whithorn town in Dumfries and Galloway.
We are now hoping to find a park somewhat closer to our home town of Dundee, as the drive .from Dundee to Withorn takes roughly 4 and a half hours and is begining to tell on me, as I am no spring chicken lol.
Ideally i am looking for a quiet park preferably open all year, 11 months would be acceptable within approx 2hr drive from home ! Yours Alan
Welcome to UKCS. If you search this Statics forum, you’ll find that re-siting may be difficult, as most sites want you to buy a static from them. So you may end up selling the one you like & buying another one nearer home. But nothing wrong with being optimistic.
Use the Site Search on here with the maximum radius from home, tick everything you want, read the most recent reviews of the sites with 9 or 10 stars. Then start phoning the ones you like the look of. Check that you know roughly how much it’s going to cost to move your static first.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
This is a question that comes up regularly, and the answer is that very few static sites anywhere in Britain will accept a static off another site, no matter how new or good condition. 99% of them will only site statics they have sold. The fact that your static is more than 10 years old won't help either as a great many sites have a 10 year limit, even for statics they have sold. To them condition is irrelevant, its all about profit.
You may get lucky, I hope you do, and if you do please let us know as it may help someone else.
We have just started bring-ons to our park ( we have only done two so far this month ) one from Scotland and one from the coast. It worked quite well from our point of view and the two customers

I'm sure that will be great news for many. I don't have a static myself, but it is a question that I've seen on here so many times, often asked by people whose static has reached the age limit for the site they are on and have been given notice. I saw on another post where you are situated, and that is a nice area so I will recommend people to contact you.
I have been tempted myself on occasions, on seeing some lovely statics for sale off site and for very reasonable prices, but I know that very few sites will take them. When people come on here and ask about bring-ons I always ask them to let us know if they find anywhere as it may help others, but not one has come back to us.
