I am also looking to put my static cavan, which is in good condition some where. There doesn't appear to be many, or any sites for it. So we need to organise one of our own. Buy a field with planning permission for statics. I was thinking some where near or on south coast from between Portsmouth and Dartmouth.?

Probably cheaper, easier and more effective to sell or scrap the existing van and buy a replacement on a park you like.
Apart from the fact that finding a field that already has planning permission for a single static caravan (in an expensive area) is going to be no easier than finding a park that will take an older static - i.e, very difficult.
Planning permission varies according to the intended use - not as simple as a field with existing permission for a static.
What will be the reason for having the static? what will the land be used for?
Your intended use will have to exactly match the existing permission, otherwise you will have to apply for a planning change of use.

Condition seems to be irrelevant to site owners, they are only interested in its age. The real reason of course is that they are only really interested in selling new statics, which is where they make their money.
