Hello everyone.

Sorry to bother you with this but hoping for a bit of advice.

Mum and Dad have a static and love it, (I'm a tourer person!) but recently Mum has been very poorly and unable to walk.

We are thinking of treating her to a mobility scooter as this would give her back the freedom she needs.

We would have to buy one of the bigger ones to suit our needs but the question is when at the caravan where could they put it?

They have a varanda so it could be parked there but are they able to 'live outside' or would we have to get a bigger 'shed' to park it in.

Thanks in advance.

Kim

Ideally a shed but you can use one of these perhaps

Bought Mum's from British Mobility up in the Forest of Dean, good prices.  Get a 4 wheel not a 3 wheeler, much more stable IMHO.  This is a popular model -

My wife uses a 'Pride GoGo' which we take with us .It normally lives in the car as we are tourers but we have seen them on sites sat outside the awning and have seen them covered by what looks to be the covers you get for patio sets so I imagine you could leave it outside but I would personally remove the battery pack or some other part for security

I use a motorcycle cover on mine, although a proper scooter one would probably be a better fit. if you are storing it at a static caravan then perhaps a locker would be the best idea, lockable etc and you could set it up so the charger was in there as well.
This is the type I have looked at for use in our back garden.

The added bonus of these apart from being lockable is that they can be used to store other things as well.

Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone for all your help.

I've pass your kind advice on and its helping Mum feel much better while she is in hospital.

I'm sure Mum and Dad were begining to think they wouldn't get back to their beloved van all season.

Thanks again
