Hi everyone Ive jumped over from the tent section as we are looking into buying a static caravan and siting it local My question is.... would i be able to take the two small beds out of a static bedroom and put in shorty bunk beds? I will look into sizes and all that if we decide to go ahead but i figured might as well go strait to the experts and come in here to ask Thanks

hi, the answer is yes, rooms in a caravan are just that - rooms!!! so long as the beds fit, then put them in!! some people turn room conversions into bathrooms, with full size bath, freeezer rooms etc.

the two twin beds are likely to be 24 inches wide, so even with 3ft wide bunks you would gain additional space.

the beds might be screwewd/bolted to the floor as will probably be the headboards to the wall

your biggest issue might be in finsing somewhere to site it, make sure you have a pitch 'sorted' before you buy your van!
