site i am on is £5 a night. so £270 for 2 months.

We arent on a meter, they just charge anyone,tent, motor home what ever £5 a night. I think they add all the site lighting etc to you, which really should come from your site fees.

Sounds as though you are paying for the proprietors electricity supply for his own home too, way too expensive unless you are running electric heating a lot, any high useage appliance will hike your bill upwards dramatically but as others have mentioned this seems way too much.
My electric bill is around £68 per quarter but there again I use scary oil and solid fuel fire.
The sooner we can buy silent running generators the better but I suppose the site owners will find a way round that too.
