Has he told the site he wants to move, they usually, from my experience, the site that is, charge for disconnecting, charge for removal of van from site, then of course the cost of transporting it to Blackpool, I wouldnt think not much left out off a grand, is the van new enough to put on another site, does the site at Blackpool accept their van.If they do then they have to site it connect it etc, sorry to sound a bit pessamistic, but that is what happened to us when we wanted to move from one site to another. Happy Christmas.

Might be cheaper and easier to sell up and buy a new one at the new site. As Lee says it can be very awkward taking your own van on to a new site.

In the caravan section on ebay there are one or two adds for caravan removals tourers and statics.  might be worth a look..royell.

we moved ours twice - just have to find a site that accepts your used van - most don't, mind you ours was less than 5 yrs old which helped. I found local movers in the Yellow pages and they gave me a quote - includes insurance, you pay a good bit more if its a 12ft wide one as you will probably need escort with it. Disconnection and reconnection at new site plus maybe a one off fee for the privaledge - they have you where they want you! We only moved ours as it was on the doorstep when we moved house and we wanted to go nr the coast.....if I can help anymore just shout! Mary

ps there are companies that advertise static van transport on ebay too....

think it cost us about 300 for the actual transporting bit - depends on roads & access etc too
