yes i know i'm early but now the dark nights have arrived, i'm looking to next years outings.
anyway, i am looking at a Temporary Holiday Site, warden'ed by volunteers of the Camping and Caravanning Club, held at Porth Beach Holiday Park near Newquay Cornwall, in June / July next year.
my question is to anyone who might have been on one of their organised trips, is whereabouts on the park would the T.H.S.pitches be, there does'nt seem to be a separate rally field, and the park map (on the parks website) offers pitches of differing widths namely red,green, yellow, blue
so , does anyone know

I can’t speak for that specific THS but a few years ago we were on a different site where there was a C&CC THS and they seemed to have a whole section of the site to themselves. It wasn’t on a separate rally field, it was on the main site. I am pretty sure they had the more basic pitches. We were on a pitch at the other end of the site and the pitches at our end were all fully serviced.
Sorry, I can't help with the pitch layout, but I'll be following this one. I'm planning my first trip to Cornwall next summer and looking at Newquay too. Does anyone know if Porth Beach Holiday Park is reachable by bus from Newquay station? I won't have a car, so I'm trying to work out which parks are realistic on foot or by public transport.
